My latest hairstyle was sponsored by Komachi The Hair Cult, a Japanese salon, and the hair maestro behind my new hair is Frank Zuo.
Frank has more than a decade of experience in the industry and was swift in deciding what he think will be good on me. He speaks fluent Mandarin, and we discussed in Mandarin what will be suitable for me. I told him that I think a slightly shorter ‘do will look more chic – and he agrees. Not too short though, he said, and not too much layering. He told me that that is because I have a thick mane that tends to look too poufy, as such, it’s best if my hair carries more weight to pull itself downwards.
Very quickly, he asked me for my preference in length of hair and fringe and he got to work. Swiftly, Frank picked up his scissors and started working on my locks. In around an hour, my hair was done and I thought it was perfect. Frank also gave some styling tips so I could maintain the style. It’s been about two weeks since the cut and it only grows out to look better. See it for yourself:
